ABOUT JAMIE:

After more than a decade collaborating with musical greats like Moby, Jim James (My Morning Jacket) Sarah and Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek), Sondre Lerche, and Mikael Jorgensen (Wilco), Jamie Drake released her lushly orchestrated indie-folk-pop album, “Everything’s Fine” in 2019 on AntiFragile Music. With over 25M streams on Spotify and critical acclaim from NPR Music, Talkhouse, Flood, BGS and Atwood Magazine, the album earned a coveted spot on Wilco’s “Favorite Albums of 2019” list.

Tours for the release included supporting Shawn Colvin, J.S Ondara, and Devotchka, as well as appearances on The Watkins Family Hour, hosted by Sean and Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek).

In 2021, Drake released a B-Sides EP, “Here Comes The Light,” to share the final book end of the “Everything’s Fine” musical trilogy she and her co-producer, AJ Minette, had begun in 2012 with their duo collaboration, “Nobel,” cutting their teeth on learning how to produce a record a in the bedroom with “The River’s Rise,” in 2014.

2022 brought Drake a new, Grammy Award winning producer, Rich Jacques, who recorded Drake at an estate in the Santa Monica Mountains with Austin Myles Grant tracking guitars and drums. “New Girl,” was birthed and became Jamie’s third and final album added to the AntiFragile trilogy. The collection of songs were recorded in single vocal takes to capture her in a raw, vulnerable dimension. Her previous releases had been more heady… “New Girl” was a heart-opening. With its 1970s-Laurel Canyon-meets-Rio de Janeiro soundscape, the album took Jamie’s brand of folk into the bossa sphere, having been heavily influenced by the iconic Joao Gilberto / Stan Getz album, “76″. Drake toured New Girl nationally both as a headliner and in support of John Splithoff and Kiltro, and released a “New Girl” remix with Scoobert Doobert the year following.

In early 2025, Drake released “So Many Melodies,” a collaborative EP with Justin Wade Tam (Humming House), and saw Drake exploring a deep Americana soundscape with soaring harmonies and road-weary confessional lyrics. The album celebrated the long-time friends’ songwriting friendship that had formed from an ASCAP writing date while Jamie was first visiting Nashville in 2011. It was this meeting where they begun writing their single, “Guiding Star.”

This summer Drake’s single, “Thread And The Spark,” marks a new beginning for the artist. Written with and produced by Emmett Kai (Jordana), the music takes Drake’s folk roots and adds a distinct edge, creating a soundscape that pulses with desire and celebrates hope, feeling both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. “Thread…” will be available everywhere May 22nd in partnership with Slay The Day Music.
